Ralph Jandrell is a highly skilled, full-time British ceramicist who has been producing distinctive studio pottery for over 35 years. Operating from a converted farm building in Chirbury, Shropshire, he oversees every step of production—from wheel-throwing and slip-decorating to glazing and final firing. His earthenware pieces are inspired by the flora and fauna of the surrounding English countryside. Known for his intricate hand-painted botanical motifs layered in rich clay slips, his artisan works are highly sought after. 

This piece showcases a contrast between a raw, unglazed matt rim that grounds the form and a highly polished, glass-glazed interior that beautifully enhances the hand-painted slip motifs.
