Studio potter Mary McFadden is based in East Sussex and is a member of The Sussex Guild. Her work frequently incorporates a signature asymmetric, horn-like silhouette with a textured, ribbed handle. She uses slab-building techniques and imprints the surface with real botanical specimens, capturing themes of nature and changing seasons. 

McFadden studied ceramic craft at St Martin’s College where she mastered complex slab-building techniques and glaze chemistry. She set up her very first professional pottery workspace in Spitalfields, London, later relocating to Kent where she works from her garden studio.
