Peregrines, tufted ducks and the Owl Survey

Over the past two weeks, we have seen two new species fly over our house, including Tufted Duck and Peregrine.  We saw two Peregrines and we presumed they were an adult and juvenile because one bird seemed to be passing food over to the other.   I also saw a pair of Tufted Ducks when I was listening to owls for the BTO Tawny Owl Calling Survey which involves listening for tawny owls for twenty minutes each week across the autumn and winter.  This is to aid the BTO in finding out the cause for their recent decline.
