Little owl alert!

In July, we went to Minninglow in the evening with the hope of seeing a little owl.  We had seen them here before.  The first thing we saw was a yellow-underwing moth.  I got to hold it.  Moths are a lot calmer than butterflies and much easier to hold.  These moths are called yellow-underwings because their lower wings are dark yellow.  As we walked a bit further, a trio of songbirds flew infant of us.  At first we thought they were just young chaffinches, but we realised they were baby blackcaps!  They were really cute!  TBCScreen Shot 2016-08-31 at 12.26.40
