Badgers caught in the act

We put our camera traps out in the garden last night and they revealed loads of photos of our badgers that have been coming lately!  We have two badgers coming, one which is smaller than the other.  They seem to have pretty good climbing skills as they have stolen two of our feeders (one of which we found broken in the hedge) and took one last night.  They seem to particularly like red suet pellets and ate a whole butter pot full of them over night!  These are the first badgers I’ve seen in my life except for dead on the side of the road so it’s really exciting.  If we can work out what time they are coming, then we could hopefully stay up and watch them.badger-5

You might be able to make out the face of the other badger in the hedge.
